Importing Transactions from a Sage File

I recently discovered that I moved to a new fiscal year end too soon and needed to reopen a backup copy to add the transactions for the previous year. (We changed fiscal year ends from Aug 31 2021 to Dec 31 2021 so I could only post back as far as Sept 1 2021 but needed to go back to March 2021) Now I have 140 transactions in the old file that I would prefer to import into the newly reopened file rather than having to manually re enter them all. Is this a possibility?

    Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, Sage 50 CA does not have the ability to merge transactions between multiple company files. Sage 50 allows you to post transactions to the current fiscal year and one prior fiscal year. The below articles offer year end processing info:

    GL or transaction history in general, cannot be imported to another Sage 50 company data file. Only list items like: chart of accounts, inventory/stock, projects, employees, vendors, customers; can be imported. The below articles provide more details:
