I'm trying to "Start a New Year" and get error message ... moving current year's data to last year.

Hi,

I'm trying to start my new year and I get an error message "An error has occurred while moving current year to last year. As a result, the new fiscal year could not start. Please restore from backup or run Advanced Database Check" In the log file I see that I have many errors HISTORICAL DATA PROBLEM: But even if I run the ADC or if I clear all historical data, nothing works.

As a test, I've tried to start a new company and even that its not working. So what's wrong ? I'm running SAGE 50 superior 2014.2 (canadian version)

Any idea what is wrong ?

    I would try to open the sample company. If it works then the software is working. If your company data will not start a new year it would probably be a data problem. A new company can be created if the software is working. If your data is the problem data repair can be done by Sage or by an independent consultant.
