I don't know where else to turn to but I am unable to open my Sage 50 Pro Accounting 2020 program on my computer.  It shows that the program is opening, then it tries to open my company file and this is the screen message I get:

Cannot open company file 'C:\users\Lenovo\Desktop\ my company name  .xlxs.SAI'  A required data file is missing.  Check your data directory to be sure the files are there.

I only have the one company on my accounting package but even if I wanted to start a new company, I would not be able to as the program does not open up.

Any suggestions for me?  What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Ann:

    In order to open your company you require a (company name).sai file  a (company name).saj folder. If they are not in the same folder the Sage company file will not open. Your present company file seems out of place with a company name .xlxs.sai. I would look for your actual folder which stores your company data. Do a search for your company within Windows to locate your sai file and your saj folder. If you are still having issues please post again or contact us directly via Sage messenger or our contact information on Sage City.
