I have a Sage 50 database where, when I'm typing inventory items to search, there's a 2 second delay between keystrokes, no matter how fast I'm typing.  There's thousands of inventory items, so I'm guessing that's the issue? Sage support says I can mark unused inventory as inactive, but it can't be done in bulk - it has to be done one at a time, which is horrible!

Does your data contain a lot of transactions? Is the inventory >10,000 items? If so uncheck "Show a list of items when an unknown item is entered" in USER PREFERENCES. Another one is "Show list buttons....." The data may need a cleanup.
