Continuing...Bank feed I entered annual bank feed 2 times.

SUGGESTED

Hi,Its Nanako,I have posted a question a few days ago Bankfeed.I entered annual bank fee 2times.How to fix it?

A very kind person suggested to try method How to manually reverse a payment or receipt

However I guess ,,, this is not really what I wanted to do.

Because my problem is on a credit card bill payment that I have done,I added 60.00 annual fee as additional fee and interest.

And when its posted it went automatically to interest account even it has to go to credit card fee account.

Credit card payable account amount went to right account.  "From" Box is not for additional fee and interest.I can not select where additional bank fee goes.

I only need to change this account of this $60.00 ...

I found How do I reverse a credit card bill payment

Maybe this one is for me?

I am so sorry for asking really beginner questions.  Thank you for your time!

    Hi Nanako,

Thanks for reaching out. You've likely already found an answer, just wanted to chime in that Credit notes are used to record a reduction on an invoice or bill as a result of a customer/ vendor return or cancelled order. They resemble invoices, but have negative values. If you want to issue a credit note for future purchases as opposed to refunding the customer's money, you can cancel the original invoice and return the goods to inventory. Then you can enter a deposit for the customer for the amount of the original invoice.

If you are returning paid goods or services to a vendor, then you should either:

    • Void  the purchase invoice, and Sage 50 Accounting will automatically issue a credit noteon behalf of the vendor. OR
    • Create a purchase credit note (Sage 50 Premium Accounting).

Hope this helps you or someone else!

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
