HI!
When you do a backup use a folder that is not in the .SAJ or near the .SAI file.
Use a folder dedicated to the .CAB files that Sage will produce.
I DO NOT WANT A .CAB FILE as it includes everything including the kitchen sink in the "file"
Your .CAB files include .CAB files and .CAB files if they are in the .SAJ folder.
Look in the .SAJ folder and if you have .CAB files that will make your backup get bigger and bigger more that 50487.
Remouve the .CAB flies from the .SAJ folder before you do a backup. Then you backup will be smaller and will not include the kitchen sink.
By definition, a backup using File, Backup will backup everything in the file. There is no way to change that.
Some people have taken a copy of their files and Cleared historical transactions using the Maintenance menu. I don't believe you can remove the previous fiscal year journal entries within the program.
Depending on who the auditors are, they may accept a General Ledger and/or General Journal report.
How do I do this. I have been using Sage Acctg program for 15 -+ 20 years and never had this problem before
