I would copy the file to the harddrive and try to open it.

I always work from the harddrive and make copies to USB

If you have not set up users and you are trying to open the file try using 'sysadmin' without the quotes as the user name and leave the password blank. This may work, if not try deleting any spaces that may be in the password and if it still does not work you will have to get help from Sage on a password reset.
