Price List Markup

SUGGESTED

I'm trying to update my price list for a certain customer to be COST + 10% - example I have an item with a MAUC cost of $10.00, want to sell it for $11.00 without manually having to look up the cost every single time. When I pick to markup COST with the 10.00% in the percentage box, the math does not work out properly.

Is there not a function to actually pull the cost?? Why do we have the cost available in the dropdown if it doesn't work?!

    Hi Becky:

If you are using Sage 50 Premium or higher you can create a price list for your specific customers who are charged cost plus 10%. When setting up an inventory item to be sold you record the retail pricing for the item depending upon the price lists you have setup. Cost is only reflected upon purchasing inventory items not on selling them.

If you are using the Update Price Lists then costs are based upon the costing of the inventory. If you are using Average Cost or First-In First-Out costing the costs are calculated differently. One averages the costs on all purchases while the other takes the oldest costs first.
