Back ups

Hello, since updating Sage 50 about a month ago I am unable to back up either of my companies. When I switch to single user mode and start the backup all it does is sits there for a minute and then disappears and closes Sage! I have tried backing up to a different drive as well as a USB stick and it does the same for everything. I'm not even getting an error code. Anyone else have this happen to them? Or have any idea's as to how to fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out. Did you find a resolution to this issue? Which version were you running? KB 107042 advises about an "Issue related to Sage doing an auto-backup in version 2020.2 when closing a shared file on RDA (remote data access) and the data synchronization not being closed."  The workaround was to be in single user mode and:

    1. Go to Setup, Settings, Company, Backup
    2. Uncheck the box to do Automatic backups

    Then do manual backups (note that backups still require you to be in single user mode...). The release of version 2021.1.1 (see KB 108351 for the download) resolved this issue. See the what's new documentation for the below quote on page 1.
