Database repair

SOLVED

When I run the database repair from the maintenance menu I get a message that my database is corrupt with the option to repair. When I say yes it seems to start the repair but then comes back with a message saying that my file is not a valid company file. Suggestions?

    Hi Bill

I would check the database check log first, there are two path at the start of the log, check if both is local c:\ drive, if both is local then check the log inside see if it contain anything like

"Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts."

“# A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected”

If you do see something similar to the above 2 lined, your database is likely corrupted, best contact Sage 50 support for data repair or try restore a recent backup see if is the same thing.

you can find the check log here

    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Simply\DbVerifier\Logs

    hope this helps
