Installed Sage 50 2019 on my brand new lap top. and the select file keeps popping up when I try to open the program

I recently installed Sage 50 Canadian on my work laptop, set up everything with my Sage account, but when I click to open the program, the "select a file" pop up comes up. I've never used Sage on this computer. We removed the application completely from my laptop, and re-installed it, and still doing the same thing. I need to access the file that has our company's info/data base. What should I do from here?

    Hi Melissa

    Are you at the this opening company screen? If yes, it just ask you to browse to your file to open it.

    You mention you need open you data file, if is in .Sai and Saj format, you can just browse and select to open.

    If is in .Cab in backup format, you would need open the a sample file in 

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Simply Accounting\2019\Samdata\VERSION

    then on main screen of the sample go File, restore to restore you backup.

    Thank you for your answer Jason.

    But the thing is, as I mentioned in my original post, this is a brand new computer, never had Sage on it, and it's my first time using SAGE. So I do not have any file to get. It's all in the drive. I want to be able to go get that file from the drive and it's not letting me.

    Hi Melissa

    What Drive do you have, USB drive?  network drive? What is your data format?

    Are you try to do multi-user or just transfer data to new computer.

    If you are just transferring, you can do a backup from old computer to USB drive, and restore to new computer.

    Our Data is on the Sage Drive. I don't have any backup. We are a total of 3 users, hence why our data is stored and kept on Sage Drive. I'm just trying to get to said Sage Drive to retrieve all the info, but there is nowhere that allows me to do so. It just promps me the Open a File window.

    Hi Melissa 

    You "Welcome Screen" is currently disabled (where you have all selection options)

    You can open the sample using the path I provide above, once in main screen of sample, you can go File, Sage Drive, Download a Shared Company to download and open your data

    You can enable the Welcome Screen within any open file by Click View, click Select Company Window At Startup

    Now the problem I am facing is the following... I got as far as the following path:

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Simply Accounting\2019\Samdata\

    Here, I have 3 folders: Enterprise, Premium and Pro.

    In all of them, I have the same 3 things: fr, Universl.SAJ and Universl

    You just need open your version of sample, if you are using 2019 Pro open Pro folder, then open the file with Sage Icon
