Exporting Monthly Statements

Hello Sage 50:

Is there a way to export (or print to a csv file) monthly statements that can be opened in Excel?
I have looked around the program but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to achieve this.

Thanks,

Dave

No, not the statements, but you can send the Customer Aged Detail report to Excel. Why do you need this? There might be another option.

Thanks for the input Richard S. Ridings, I have exported the Customer Aged Detail report and find the information is too much. It just seems to me that the more I use SAGE the more I realize that anything outside of very basic reporting is not possible. However if you buy *this* add on you can do *this*, but reading other comments even if you buy *this* you can only do *this* BUT if you also buy *that* add on, you can then do *that*.

Bottom line is that it appears that SAGE has done a very good job at analyzing what people are doing and what kind of information they are trying to exact from their company records and finding ways to extract more money from SAGE users.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

What are you considering as part of the Too Much Information? We can't help without more details.

You can just delete columns from the exported Excel file or remove them from the report before you export and store that as a template so you can just recall it each time you need it.

You can use the options to remove any invoices that have been already paid or show only what was paid within the last xxx days in addition to unpaid transactions.

Thanks for the response, I know I can remove columns, size, resize etc., I am fairly comfortable with spreadsheets in general. This whole process stems from trying to find a way to create a report that has the customer P.O. number on a report/statement. I have been told that it is not possible to do this...... unless I spend more money. Don't get me wrong I am not cheap and don't expect the world for free.... that said. SAGE advertising suggests that the stand alone program will have the ability to be customized to suite your needs. I don't think having the p.o. number from the customer on aged receivables or statements etc is asking too much from a program.

I apologize if I seem unduly negative... but the experience so far has been frustrating to say the least.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

Ah, that would have been something you should lead with next time.

This is essentially correct.  However, if you want to save the money but spend the time, you can use either Excel's MSQuery or VBA programming to pull that information and put it in a statement of your own formatting.

You might want to go to Help, Contact Sage, Give us your feedback and find the request already in the list and vote it up so the designers pay more attention to it.
