I would like the invoice subtotal and GST displayed on printed invoices. I can't see why it's not printing, as I have "print subtotal" checked. I've tried to customize the invoices, but subtotal and tax are not in the selection of fields to display.
I'm at a loss.
Anyone have any suggestions?

As per the screen shot below, this is my setting of invoice template under Report and Form options.
This is the printout of my invoice. It shows the tax and the subtotal.
Can you try to bring the invoice template back to default as I did and see what will happen when you do a preview?
