Hello,

I'm having issues bringing up the entries in a journal number. I see it everywhere...GL, Receipts Journal etc. but when I click on it, I get an error message "There is no data to report". There were no changes, so I'm not sure how I can access the entry and I need to correct something in the entry.

Any assistance/ideas will be helpful.

Thanks

This appears to be in the Accounts Receivable module. Did you process the invoice with a payment? Try going to the related invoice and bring it up on screen. Is it pay later? or one of the other payment methods that would mark it paid immediately? Open this journal entry, is this the entry you are trying to look at?

I'm trying to open the journal entry and I get the error message.

This must be the Journal Entry you deleted. Carry on searching the Journal Entries and you should find one that is for the same dollar values only reversing the debits and credits. The message on this entry will tell you which entry it is reversing and what the new Journal number is currently. If there is only a reversing entry and no new entry (which is what I would expect as your deleted the original entry) then you must make a new entry not correct the one in error as it has already been deleted.

If Alwyn's idea doesn't pan out, I believe you also get that message for some entries you cannot lookup on the data entry screens.  Eg. a Credit Card Payment through the Payments modules using the Transaction Type, Pay Credit Card.  This is the normal operation of the program.  It cannot lookup an entry onto a data entry screen that cannot do a lookup.

Being from the Receipts module, this should not be the exact issue you are having with your entry.  However, is it possible that the Customer's History has been removed?  If so, I believe without the history, the receipts cannot be looked up and you will likely get that error.
