If you just re-installed Sage 50, then it may not be at the same patch level as when the backup was done. You did not mention what version of Sage 50 you are running now? The current Version of Sage 50 is 2017.2, but there is 2017.0 and 2017.1 that have been released prior to the current version.

Hello - thank you for your reply. I have version 2017.1.

So, if my client has 2017.2, I'm not able to retrieve her CAB file? Is there a way around this?

Hi Bruce - thank you so much for this information. I looked up updates that are available and downloaded it. It was successful and I was able to open up the client's CAB file.

I really appreciated your help. I am learning so much because of Sage City.
