check in your deposit column. There could be line items that need to be checked off from adjustments etc. 

Unfortunately, there is nothing that needs to be checked off.  The bank rec was balanced, but then Sage crashed while it was posting.  So I think something happened there, but it doesn't match any specific item or combination of entries.

as in the ending balance at the top right of your reconciliation match the ending balance to your bank statement?

yes and the opening balance also matches last month

Because it crashed when posting, you may have to reverse the reconciliation and start over.  It might of dropped something in the process. 

how would I reverse it?  I already cleared everything and started over, but got the same result.  when I look at the bank reconcilation report, it is not showing as completed.  is there a way to reverse a prior reconciliation in sage 50?

did you post rec or just save it? If posted and on RDA - remote data - go to top of screen Reconciliation - drop down box and reverse last reconciliation.  If not on remote I highly suggest NOT doing this as it will wipe out all recs.  if just saved you can overwrite as you go no harm no foul.  Just clear all transaction check marks and start over

It is not posted.  I verified that by going to the reverse reconciliation screen and it shows the reconciliation for the previous month.  I have tried clearing everything and starting over, but I just keep getting the same result.

Hi Since it crashed when you were posting, you may have to call Sage and get them to check what's happening behind the scenes.  I have good luck using the Live Chat, they are usually pretty helpful.
