Migration legacy server to new server

Our infrastructure service provider is planning the migration of all our accounting software including Sage 50 Expert Accounting 2023 away from Windows Server 2012 R2. Both versions of applications and data files are stored on the server. The legacy server is at end of life and will be retired in early February 2023.

We would like to install the Sage 50 Expert Accounting 2023 application on the new server very soon, migrate all company databases and launch the application to verify that everything was migrated correctly and that end-users can access the migrated Sage 50 company files without issues.

Here are three (3) questions:
- Is it possible to download the Sage 50 Expert Accounting application for a clean install on the new server before deinstalling the application and deactivating the licence on the legacy server?
- Do we need a temporary license code to launch Sage 50 Expert Accounting on the new server to perform basic testing and trial? We want to make sure everything works correctly before deactivating the license on the legacy server. We are aiming for minimum downtime to our regular activities.
- What is the procedure to transfer the license from the legacy to the new server?
