Error during upgrade of company to 2023.1

Hello,

We've been trying to upgrade our 2022.4 company to 2023.1, and it fails at step 14. We tried to upgrade another (smaller) company, and it worked fine. It seems like it could be related to the size of the database?

See the screenshot below of the error:

Please advise.

Thank you

The second company worked because there was no detectable error in the database. I have found that Tech Support can help with this error. Contact them through the online chat feature as it is possibly the fast response time at this point in the year.

Thanks for the reply. No support agent has been able to solve the problem yet...

Did a Support Agent connect in to your computer to determine the cause within your data? If not, you can try the advance tools shown at the bottom of the Maintenance drop down menu.

I just thought of another possibility - If I am right you are currently using Sage 2022.4. Try going to 2023.0. If this works then try 2023.1

2023.1 is only an upgrade and requires a current copy of 2023 to install properly. This may be your problem as the upgrade may be looking for code in the data set that indicates version 2023.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Margo!

Did you get a resolution to this problem as I am having the same issue with one of my company files.

All my other files are upgrading just fine.

    Thanks!  Shelly

I got the similar problem, but got kicked out at 7/44.

I could update a smaller data size company. But, the larger data size company could not get update. I tried with different machines (Network server, standalone laptop, PC) with version 2023.0 and 2023.1

I guess the Sage Programmer set up a small buffer limit (short time function) which does not give enough time to convert a large data company file!
