Thanks for reaching out. Did you ever find an answer for this issue? Do you have Anti virus running and perhaps blocking the file in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\MSACCESS.EXE' from running via ODBC. 

You could try to :

1. Add MSACCESS.EXE (i.e. 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\MSACCESS.EXE) to exclusion list

If you are still looking for guidance, please let us know and we can try to point you in the right direction or suggest some resources or next steps.

I tried adding the MSACCESS.EXE to the antivirus exclusions and it didn't work. Acccess is still crashing. Strange thing is that we use it with Excel with no issues whatsoever...

You have to update the connection the MSAccess query for the new CM 

Provider=MSDASQL;DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 5.2a Driver}  

to 

Provider=MSDASQL;DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 8.0 ANSI Driver}

I am already using Provider=MSDASQL;DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 8.0 ANSI Driver}
