How to process payment to payout liability

Question

I have a short term loan which I need to pay out. How do I process a cheque payment to payout this liability?

Hi Madeleine ONeill , 
 You can use the Payment Journal by going to Payables > Payments > Pay Expenses on the dashboard while in Classic View . Select your liability account that was accrued in the Acct. column. Refer to Method 1 in this article . Hope this helps.
