  • Hi Lisa,  I have to pay our Casuals tomorrow.  Do you know if we will have details on how to set up a JobKeeper "allowance" that will not attract the 9.5% Super guarantee?

    Thanks!

    Anita

  • Hi Anita

We are currently waiting confirmation that the JobKeeper allowance has passed through Parliament.  Please review the Government factsheets via the link above in regards to the current proposal and your Employees circumstances.

To answer your question in general when a pay component does not attract Employer SGL you would not add the pay component to the Employer Superannuation Contribution> Calculation Parameters.  Please review this Sage Knowledgebase article for information on how to check what is currently selected in your Sage MicrOpay software - How do I change the pay components that are being used for Employer superannuation calculations?

We are continuing to work with the ATO and further information will be provided once we confirm the correct process in Sage MicrOpay.

    Thank you

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

  • Hi Lisa,

If our company will only be eligible for jobkeeper from May 2020, should I just need to set up JOBKEEPER-START-FN03? By step 3 released in the notes, do I also need to process STP event in April or I can do this together with May payrun? Also, our payrun is a monthly base, what do we need to do to reflect this?

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Vivian
